Fridge-clearing Fried Bee Hoon – Back to school today 😴 Here’s a super simple beehoon using up random veg (carrot, zuchinni and shrooms) and proteins (lean pork and spam) i had in my fridge.
The seasoning/sauce, which balances salt, acidity and sweetness, couldn’t be easier. For ~120g dry beehoon (serves 2-3), 1 tbsp each dark soy, light soy, chinkiang vinegar + 1 tsp gula melaka + 2 tsp fish sauce.
Adding shallot oil and/or lard halfway through is optional but highly recommended!
